Jennifer Russell recently completed her Ph.D. in Music Theory at the University of Oregon. Her secondary area of study was Vocal Performance and she was an active performer throughout her graduate studies and since graduation. Her theory research is focused on song and her dissertation studied text painting in Lieder of Wolf and Schoenberg. Recent performances include the role of the speaker in Pierrot lunaire, performed with ECCE, Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro, Lily in The Secret Garden, and many solo and chamber recitals in the Eugene area.
